From the Soul Books in Order
Sometimes we don't always make the right decisions. Sometimes we think we know better than anyone else what's best for us. The signs and symbols are right in front of our faces. Yet we think we know it all. Then we fall flat on our faces. The love we think we've found is just the light of a waning candle. Love isn't supposed to hurt. It's not supposed to be abusive. It's not supposed to leave scars. Maybe it wasn't love after all.
At times, we fail to make wise choices. We arrogantly believe our own judgment surpasses all others. The answers and warnings are clear to see, yet we remain blind. Ultimately, we are left broken and humiliated. Our supposed love is merely the fading glow of a candle. True love does not cause pain, abuse, or scars. Perhaps it was never love at all!
