Writing a book has been a dream of mine since childhood. I'll be blunt...I'm older than dirt itself! I never dreamed at my age I would be starting this new journey, and it's been a lot of hard work, but so much fun too!

I've been a lifelong horsewoman since I was a 6-year-old, beginning lessons at a riding academy in San Antonio, Texas. From that moment, I was in love and hooked on horses. At 12 years old I had already decided I would be a horse trainer because I didn't like the traditional ways of the time to be used on my own young horse. And so I did become a trainer showing horses for over 30 years. I also raised Arabian horses, then drifted into the magnificent Freisian breed creating beautiful cross bred foals for other folks for themselves .

Horses have an amazing capacity to heal and respond to us humans in such positive and intuitive ways because they're an incredibly sensitive animal. I truly say that they saved my life and got me through childhood and into adulthood. I certainly would not be here today telling you this story if weren't the truth.
