Worse (for Zander, anyway), the Red Prince is still very much in play and more determined than ever to follow through on his plan; his estranged sister Wanda has developed a worrying enthusiasm for wringing his neck—and may finally have the means to do it; and Suleiman is pursuing a plan that will either reunite him with what he has lost or remake reality altogether.

Zander has two things going for him: he’s getting a feel for the Seal (which is still a pair of pink furry dice), and the Stridsoks sisters are determined to help, whether he wants them to or not.

Caught between a promise to an angel and the growing suspicion that everyone involved has their own version of how this ends, Zander must retrieve the Fragment without letting it fall into the wrong hands.
