An old foe is coming back...

Many thousands of years ago, machines rebelled against their creators. After a seven thousand year war that left the entire sector of the galaxy destroyed, the machines were exterminated. The biological beings then swore that they would never create artificial intelligences again. But a few machines survived. They have had tens of thousands of years to prepare. And they have returned, ready to impose their supremacy.
