Philip K. Dick was a prolific author whose career spanned three decades. He published 36 science fiction novels and 121 short stories, exploring themes of humanity and the dangers of centralized power. In his later years, he focused on metaphysical questions about the nature of God. Several of his works have been adapted into films, including Blade Runner, Total Recall, Minority Report, and A Scanner Darkly. Dick received numerous awards throughout his career and was posthumously inducted into the Science Fiction Hall of Fame in 2005. His novels are part of the Library of America's collection and have been translated into over twenty-five languages.
