Ocean Vuong is a distinguished author known for his debut novel, 'On Earth We're Briefly Gorgeous', and his celebrated poetry collection, 'Night Sky with Exit Wounds'. The poetry collection earned critical acclaim and several awards, including the T.S. Eliot Prize and the Whiting Award. Vuong's writings have been recognized with numerous fellowships and awards, such as those from the Lannan Foundation and the Civitella Ranieri Foundation. Born in Saigon, Vietnam, Ocean Vuong currently resides in Northampton, Massachusetts, where he is an Assistant Professor in the MFA Program for Poets and Writers at Umass-Amherafterst.
