About

Can a girl, who feels more like a social moth than butterfly, unite three different kinds of monsters to save her world from a paranoid madman?

Kiz has spent her whole life being invisible — and it's kept her alive. The daughter of a Pleasure House escapee, she passes as an ordinary citizen with ordinary freckles and an ordinary life. Beneath that, she runs rebel messages through her father's factory and tells herself she's nothing special.

She's wrong. And being wrong is about to get thousands of people killed — or saved.

When she instinctively blasts a Borer named Hilt out of the path of an industrial crusher, she doesn't just reveal herself as a Protector. She lights a fuse. A fuse of passion, need, and prophecy. And it's that prophesy that might be the only thing standing in the way of the Principal Oligarch's plan to kill every Galaxean on the planet. Three thousand souls scheduled for termination in ten days — and a pack of indestructible cyborg dogs ready to destroy anyone who tries to stop him.

Now Kiz is bonded to three males who were never supposed to coexist: Hilt, who builds. Blade, who fights. Amphion, who explores the stars. A Borer, an Aerian, and a Galaxean — three castes divided by design, united by a woman the system was never supposed to produce.

To save the Galaxeans, they need to move thousands through the heart of a locked-down city to a space platform controlled by the enemy. They have few days, a handful of rebels, and a bond that proves something the Oligarchy will burn the world to suppress — that these "machines" were always human, and the future growing inside Kiz is proof.

Three men from three worlds. One woman who was never supposed to matter. And ten days to pull off the largest liberation in the history of a species that was never meant to be free.
