The author is a former social worker, trauma survivor, and a descendant of Mennonite refugees from Soviet Ukraine.
Her fictional stories contain complex characters driven by perseverance, faith and hope. Grief, loss, and overcoming trauma are central themes in her stories. When she isn't writing, she hikes through forests, harvests herbs, and invents recipes. She spends her quiet evenings reading historical fiction and watching movies inspired by true stories.
The author currently resides in the picturesque wine country of Niagara-on-the-lake, Ontario.
