About
Projecto: The Ghetto Superhero
By day, Wali Muhammad Madinah is a pillar of the Queens community, running local centers that serve as safe havens for youth on the brink of destruction. By night, he becomes Projecto, a mysterious force who can sense violence before it erupts, talk criminals off the edge, and, when necessary, take down those who refuse redemption.
Born into an African-American Muslim household, Wali was raised in the spiritual and militant traditions of Malcolm X’s legacy—first under the Nation of Islam, then Muslim Mosque, Incorporated, and later the Mosque of Islamic Brotherhood in Harlem. His journey through New York’s masjids—Masjid Adam in the Bronx, Masjid Nuriddin in Queens, and Masjid Taqwa in Brooklyn—instilled in him an unshakable faith, discipline, and purpose. But it was his training in Baguazhang, under New York’s hidden African-American masters, that transformed him into something more than just a man. He became a warrior—his mind sharpened by meditation, his body conditioned for battle, and his spirit awakened to the unseen forces around him.
His gift is a rare combination of precognition and persuasion—a supernatural ability to feel crime before it happens and the words to disarm men before they strike. When those fail, his martial arts mastery finishes what words cannot. In a city suffocating under gang wars, corrupt cops, and relentless crime, Projecto stands alone, a phantom protector battling not just violence, but the crushing weight of knowing he cannot save everyone.
Each failed rescue chips away at him. Each death lingers like a scar on his soul. His only solace? Prayer. Reflection. The unwavering faith that he is but a vessel for a greater purpose. But how long can a man fight in the dark before he loses himself to it?
As the bloodshed intensifies and a ruthless crime syndicate sets its sights on him, Wali must confront his greatest challenge yet—one that will test his limits, his faith, and his very reason for fighting.
Projecto: The Ghetto Superhero is an electrifying fusion of supernatural vigilante justice, martial arts mastery, and raw, emotional storytelling—a heart-pounding epic in the vein of modern cinematic legends and literary icons.
Perfect for fans of Black Panther, Daredevil, The Equalizer, and The Dark Knight.
