The Intrepid is spiraling into a fiery star, and its AI, Bob, has lost control. Battling a relentless saboteur, Bob's final act is to awaken Colonel Tanis Richards from stasis.

Tanis awakens alone on a dying ship, cut off from Bob and the rest of the crew. With the vessel plummeting toward destruction, she must unravel the mystery of the sabotage and save the Intrepid from burning up in LHS 1565.
