Khaled Hosseini is a globally renowned novelist whose works have sold over thirty-eight million copies in more than seventy countries. His notable books include "The Kite Runner," which was adapted into a major film and named a Book of the Decade by The Times, Daily Telegraph, and Guardian. "A Thousand Splendid Suns" was recognized as the Richard & Judy Best Read of the Year in 2008. Aside from his literary career, Hosseini serves as a Goodwill Envoy to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and founded The Khaled Hosseini Foundation to provide humanitarian assistance to Afghanistan. Born in Kabul, Afghanistan, he now resides in northern California.
