About

Promyse Jackson woke up to the sound of her dog, Caine barking like crazy, which could mean only one thing: somebody undesirable was out there. She slid off of the couch and walked out onto the balcony that over looked the back yard, there they were: the boys in blue with their guns pulled threaten to shoot her dog. She blew into a dog whistle that only the dog could hear which made him go back inside his doghouse. At the sight of the Police made her stomach flip, she wanted to kick her own ass for falling asleep at the trap house from the start. She was there to meet with their supplier to pick up a new shipment of pure uncut cocaine. It was a good thing that her husband's foot soldier Jack had already picked it up, that's when Promyse remembered there was one kilo left. She ran back inside the house and fumbled as she grabbed the kilo off of the kitchen table and rushed inside the bathroom, where she dumped the kilo in the toilet. "Metro Police! Is anyone in there?" he yelled from outside the front door. Promyse flushed the toilet and headed for the door. "We have a search Warrant. You can either open the door, or we're coming in!" he yelled while banging on the door. When Promyse swung the door open, the Police barged in. "Where is Harambae Jackson?" the older white Policeman asked. "I don't have shit to say until I contact my lawyer" she said. "I never expected a hustlers wife to know her rights-" "I'm not tryna hear that bullshit you spitting." she cut his ass off in mid-sentence. "If you tell us where your Husband is, I will make sure you don't face any serious time," he grinned. "Get the fuck outta of my face with that good cop shit." Promyse knew what they were trying to do and she wasn't falling for that shit. Within half an hour, after searching the house, Promyse was taking downtown Nashville to the Justice Center where she was booked on a gun charge and possession of marijuana. Even though she had been arrested numerous of times before, she always seemed to avoid doing any major prison time. Witnesses disappeared or lack of evidence forced some of her cases to be dismissed, but this time it was different and she felt it. She spent the next week in a cold, foul smelling cell, every inch was covered in grime, until she got a bond. During that time her case was bounded over to the grand jury. She went before a judge, "We all know what side of the law you're on Mrs. Jackson. Therefore I order you to stay away from all illegal activities, or your bond will be revoked!" Judge Hawkins stated before banging his gavel. Promyse battled the courts for two long years before she finally lost. She spent six years of her life in prison. They wanted her to flip on her husband, but when she wouldn't even speak his name they knew they didn't have shit. After the case on Harambae was thrown out he was allowed to visit Promyse her last four years in prison. She knew she couldn't focus on what Harambae was doing in the streets, because it would've drove her crazy. She took the shit for what it was and held her head up. It's better to have one loyal woman by your side than ten fake homies.
