Katrina Mckee

Katrina was born and raised in Ballarat, the oldest of three girls. She began writing early, completing her first book at age eight. A teacher submitted it to Penguin, where she received her first rejection letter and words of encouragement.

Katrina's educational journey is marked by her completion of a Diploma of Arts/Bachelor of Arts (Professional Writing & Editing) at The University of Ballarat (now Federation University) and a Graduate Diploma of Education at The University of Melbourne, solidifying her knowledge and expertise in her fields of interest.

Katrina worked as a high school teacher in remote and metropolitan Victoria for four years. She taught English, Literature, Journalism and Literacy.

A prolific writer, she has written several original novels and fan fiction for various fandoms. Her first novel, Portal, was released in August 2024 and is the first of a series.
