About
When the Minnesota Ice Lynxes' practice facility pipes burst mid-season, forcing a team-wide relocation, star winger Winifred "Fred" Watson finds herself billeted above Anderson's Garage in tiny Coopers Grove. The owner, Grace Anderson, is carrying on her family's legacy while secretly studying for the police detective exam - a dream she's kept hidden from her traditional small town.
Grace's immediate attraction to the famous hockey player is complicated by her need to protect her aspirations. Meanwhile, Fred, whose cold exterior earned her the nickname "Ice Queen," finds herself drawn to Grace's quiet strength and the way she seamlessly balances running her family's business with caring for others in her tight-knit community.
As Fred helps Grace study for her detective exam in secret, and Grace teaches Fred about belonging somewhere rather than just passing through, their connection deepens. But when Fred is offered a once-in-a-lifetime trade to her dream team in Seattle, she must choose between her lifelong goal and the woman who's melting her carefully constructed walls. Grace, too, faces a crisis when she's offered an accelerated path into law enforcement - in Minneapolis, hours away from her family's legacy garage.
