Diane Duane, originally from New York City, began her career as a psychiatric nurse before transitioning to full-time writing. Since publishing her first novel in 1981, she has written over fifty books, including novels, short stories, comics, and screenplays for TV and film. Duane is particularly renowned for her "Young Wizards" series, which features teen wizards Kit Rodriguez and Nita Callahan. The series continued with its tenth installment, "Games Wizards Play," released in 2016. Duane resides in the Wicklow Mountains of Ireland with her husband, novelist and screenwriter Peter Morwood.
