THE ART OF PROVERBS
In March 2018 my pastor encouraged us (the church) to read one chapter of Proverbs a day. There are 31 days in March and 31 chapters in Proverbs. After March was over, she encouraged us to read a chapter a day each month. The months that had less than 31 days to double up on chapters. As I continued to read a chapter a day, I noticed how poetically artistic Solomon was in his writings. I wanted to see them as a painting and thought how I could pay someone to create art from the Proverbs. I didn't think I could create these images with my graphic art skills (I am self-taught). After about three months of reading the scriptures and wanting to see the scriptures as art, I decided to attempt to make my first art piece. It was a success. As I continued to read the scriptures I kept reading and seeing images. Each time a scripture caught my attention I created an art piece for it. This book is my collection of Proverbs scriptures in art form.
