Joe Goldberg is done with the cities and the superficial lifestyles. He moves to a quiet island in the Pacific Northwest seeking a simpler, more genuine life. He finds a job at a local library where he meets Mary Kay DiMarco, a librarian. Joe is determined to win her over by being supportive and patient, hoping they can overcome her busy life as a mother and friend to start a new chapter together.
