A former HR Director, Briar reached the top of her career ladder only to realize it wasn’t where her heart wanted to stay. After years of putting her creativity on the back burner, she finally gave herself permission to chase the stories she’d been carrying since childhood. Now an indie author by choice, she loves the creative freedom, flexibility, and connection to readers that independent publishing allows.
Originally from Texas, Briar now lives in southwest Louisiana with her husband, two children, two German Shorthaired Pointers, and one very opinionated cat. When she’s not writing, working, or spending time with her family, she’s usually reading, trying to keep her family squad alive in Fortnite, or planning another Disney getaway.
She is proudly self-taught, still learning as she goes, and having the time of her life building an author career alongside her husband—one emotionally devastating fictional character at a time.
