About
Hi, I’m Alyssa
I write stories about love because I was lucky enough to find my person, and honestly, I can't help but put those feelings out into the world. But I don’t do "perfect" fairytales. I believe love is a chaotic series of curves and edges, and I’m here to document every messy, non-linear inch of the journey.
I’m a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent communities, and I’ll be the first to admit I’m a total cliché: I’m a bisexual woman married to my very own golden retriever gamer guy. He’s the "one true love" who inspires my books—and the only person capable of staging a physical intervention when my ADHD and autism lock me into a seventy-two-hour hyperfocus spiral where I forget that food and sleep exist.
The "Behind-the-Scenes" Me:
- The Vibe: My home office is basically a Pinterest board having a mid-life crisis. If it isn't sparkly, covered in twinkle lights, or buried under a mountain of blankets, I don’t want it.
- The Fuel: I am a "good Texan" who treats water like a personal insult. I survive on an exorbitant amount of coffee, pivoting to Dr Pepper only when it’s late enough that my heart rate starts to concern the neighbors.
- The Roommates: When I’m not writing, I’m usually baking for my family and strategically avoiding the dishes (that’s a husband task). I also spend a significant amount of time failing to broker peace treaties between my two cats, Cookie and Giorgio, who refuse to snuggle at the same time out of pure spite.
I’m an avid reader of everything from the dark and gritty to the timeless classics. I write the representation I once needed to see, proving that you can be a total disaster and still be the main character of a beautiful romance.
