The winners are: Augustus Gloop, an extremely overweight boy who loves eating; Veruca Salt, a spoiled brat whose parents indulge her every whim; Violet Beauregarde, a not-so-bright gum chewer with rapid chewing skills; Mike Teavee, a young boy fascinated by television and plays with toy pistols; and Charlie Bucket, a kind, honest, and brave boy who is in for the adventure of a lifetime.
