Emily Jane Brontë was an English novelist and poet, born on July 30, 1818, and passed away on December 19, 1848. She is renowned for her only novel, "Wuthering Heights," which is now regarded as a classic of English literature. Emily was the third eldest of the four surviving Brontë siblings and wrote under the pen name Ellis Bell.
