There was something about Abbeydon Academy that was soothing and comforting. A little bit of real life here, I was sick while I was reading it and when I was trying to rest, I would constantly pick the book up again. Even if I was only able to read a couple of chapters at a time (I napped a lot while I was down for the count), I still couldn't get enough. I adored Brandon and Gina. Both characters are loving, compassionate, and so dang down to earth. I loved the fact that even with all that going on, neither of them were perfect. Coming off a very nasty injury, Brandon believes he is broken. From his bouts of PTSD to his belief that he can't burden his problems onto anyone, he's dealing with a lot. If he would just open his eyes, he would see the Gina is perfect for him. She gets in him ways he doesn't even get himself. And Gina... Yeah, she's the dedicated teacher, she has a prejudice against sports. When Brandon comes into town, he shows her that there are positives with sports. Not all of it is bad. Throughout the book, they learned from each other. They bounced ideas off each other. And I gotta say... Their chemistry was pretty flipping fantastic. I cannot wait for the next book in the Bristol Park series. I have to say, Abbeydon Academy is my favorite so far.
