The Highest Form of Human Expression is to Serve Others...

Mitch Russo’s Sacred Profits - From Meditation to Domination is an enlightening journey that blends personal growth, corporate transformation, and the cultivation of mindful leadership. This book captures something profound: the convergence of inner peace and outward success, a balance (harmony) that many entrepreneurs and executives spend their careers chasing. Russo doesn’t just talk business; he weaves in the essence of presence, health, ethics, and community, creating a roadmap that is both practical and spiritually nourishing.

Transformative Power of Health and Ethics:
Russo's exploration of health isn’t limited to physical wellness, but reaches into the well-being of the mind and spirit—because let’s face it, a business only thrives if its leaders do too. Mitch is clear: success doesn’t mean burning out. It’s about sustaining your energy and living ethically. The stories he shares on ethical decision-making struck a chord with me, illustrating that real profits come when leaders value people and integrity just as much as revenue. It’s a message echoing the greats—perhaps a modern-day equivalent to Hill’s timeless reminder that thoughts are the seeds of action【26†source】.

Presence and Mindfulness in Leadership:
One of the most powerful threads in this narrative is the idea of being fully present. In a world where corporate leaders juggle immense responsibilities, Russo reminds us that presence is more than mindfulness; it’s the power to connect deeply with those around us and to be fully engaged in every decision. The way he translates the art of meditation into a tool for business domination feels revolutionary and yet so simple. Presence, as Russo explains, is the foundation of real leadership—because when you’re here, your team feels it.

Community: The Backbone of Success
At its heart, Sacred Profits shows us that success isn’t a solo endeavor. It’s about building a community where every individual’s growth is tied to the collective well-being. This was where the book truly resonated for me. Mitch's insights on creating a culture of trust and collaboration are backed by real-world examples, from the boardroom to the meditation cushion. He gets it—building a thriving team or company requires fostering a sense of belonging and purpose. And what better legacy could a leader leave?

Conclusion: Service as the Ultimate Profit
To paraphrase the lesson woven throughout Sacred Profits: the highest form of human expression is to serve others. The stories Mitch tells, the advice he offers, and the reflections he shares all culminate in a profound truth—leadership is not about domination for its own sake; it’s about elevating others. Mitch Russo has crafted a book that challenges leaders to grow not just as entrepreneurs but as whole human beings. It’s a masterclass in how serving others, ethically and mindfully, becomes the ultimate path to real profit.

A new take on how to run a business profitably

The 'virtual' organization has been with us for a while. This means that many workers, especially highly skilled ones, work at different locations and collaborate over the Internet as needed.

But what if you take it a step further. What if you dispense with office buildings entirely and have everyone work from home? How much would you save on real-estate, electricity and utilities, gas, janitorial services and the like? How much would the workers save on gas, laundry, and childcare or elder-care? How much commuting time would be saved? And how much of the getting to work on time frustration and anxiety would dissipate?

This is not a pipe dream. Russo contends that not only is this possible, but gives you step-by-step directions on how to pull it off. He lists and tackles objections systematically. For example: "I'll lose control of my company" is just not so. You may actually get a better handle on your company because the only way you will succeed in such an endeavor is by putting in place detailed tracking systems that will probably give you better information than you are using presently.

Such a set up is what Russo calls an invisible organization and the key to pulling this off is great communication and simple but robust measurement systems. And he shows you how to do the former and set up the latter.

You don't have to do this all at once. You can do it in bits and pieces. And either your profits will balloon or you will be able to pass such huge savings to your customers that you become an unbeatable market force.

Well worth reading and implementing.

A Transformative Read for Both Personal and Professional Growth

As someone who has spent much of their early career working as a counselor with adolescents battling addiction, I found Sacred Profits by Mitch Russo to be a profoundly powerful and insightful book. Russo's journey from a teenager with financial aspirations to a successful entrepreneur and spiritual leader is not only inspiring but also deeply relatable for anyone who has faced significant challenges in life and work.

In Chapter One, Russo shares his early motivations and the impact of his parents' divorce on his determination to break free from a life of mediocrity. This story resonated with me, especially the way he turned his struggles into fuel for his ambitions. Russo's honesty about his mistakes and his relentless pursuit of success is a reminder that perseverance and self-belief can lead to extraordinary achievements.

What sets this book apart is how Russo seamlessly integrates spirituality into the business world. His emphasis on purpose and personal growth as the foundation for lasting success is a refreshing take in a field often dominated by financial metrics alone. His journey, particularly the creation of the Timeslips Certified Consultant Program, underscores the importance of developing not just technical skills but also personal and interpersonal competencies to truly succeed.

For anyone looking to combine business acumen with personal development, Sacred Profits offers valuable lessons and practical tools. Russo’s insights on leadership, purpose, and resilience are especially relevant for those in helping professions, like counseling, where personal growth is as important as professional success.

Overall, Sacred Profits is a must-read for anyone seeking to align their business endeavors with a deeper sense of purpose. Mitch Russo’s story is a testament to the power of combining ambition with spirituality, and it will undoubtedly inspire many to embark on their own journey of self-discovery and success.
