Power Tribes is a powerful and applicable tool for anyone who has intellectual property and wants to scale their business. I rolled out my first certification program 25 years ago...how I wish I had this book first...the time, money and frustration that is would have saved. I highly recommend Mitch and Power Tribes!

This book is a true eye-opener. And although that might sound like a hackneyed cliché, it's exactly the right expression. Russo's step-by-step guide-cum-manifesto on achieving growth whilst REDUCING costs runs contrary to what they teach in business school and it's applicable to pretty much any organization of any size (even, as he says in the first few pages, if you run a restaurant that naturally requires an "in-person" presence).

What I enjoyed most about this book, apart from the specific instruction the author provides on HOW to do what he's talking about (and not just the benefits of "going virtual"), is that it covers almost every aspect of setting up - or transitioning to - a "lighter, larger" company, from hiring and training to structuring salaries and implementing company-wide systems.

If Tim Ferriss's 4 Hour Workweek was for the one-person freelance agent who wants more profit for less time (which I believe it was) then Russo's is the book for companies of any size who want to achieve the same.

An excellent treatise on workplace organization and business management that any business owner can immediately gain valuable insight (and probably dollars in the bank) from reading and applying.

With all of the business books out there about improving performance at all costs, selling, and psychological persuasion it was great to finally read a book that taught heart-centered decision making, spirituality in business, and integrity.

The 'virtual' organization has been with us for a while. This means that many workers, especially highly skilled ones, work at different locations and collaborate over the Internet as needed.

But what if you take it a step further. What if you dispense with office buildings entirely and have everyone work from home? How much would you save on real-estate, electricity and utilities, gas, janitorial services and the like? How much would the workers save on gas, laundry, and childcare or elder-care? How much commuting time would be saved? And how much of the getting to work on time frustration and anxiety would dissipate?

This is not a pipe dream. Russo contends that not only is this possible, but gives you step-by-step directions on how to pull it off. He lists and tackles objections systematically. For example: "I'll lose control of my company" is just not so. You may actually get a better handle on your company because the only way you will succeed in such an endeavor is by putting in place detailed tracking systems that will probably give you better information than you are using presently.

Such a set up is what Russo calls an invisible organization and the key to pulling this off is great communication and simple but robust measurement systems. And he shows you how to do the former and set up the latter.

You don't have to do this all at once. You can do it in bits and pieces. And either your profits will balloon or you will be able to pass such huge savings to your customers that you become an unbeatable market force.

Too many people miss out on using their built up experience and knowledge to excel in the business world. This book is for them to get inspired and shows them the way of doing it in a clear cut and practical way. It starts by you sharing your own knowledge. You start to create a culture of people speaking the same business language and you get a percentage of every sale performed by the group. The more people that gain the knowledge, the more you get to reach and work with. They might become competitors, but there is enough room for all in the market! And the buzz is on. This book is inspiring and will certainly guide me into new ventures. I recommend that you try it out too!

I knew this book was a winner from the first few pages.

After I was only about a third of the way in to the book, I had already taken away a few amazing insights and strategies that would have paid for the book many times over. But the insights kept coming. Chapter after chapter, the book continued getting better and even though I wasn't sure initially if the book would apply to my business, by midway through I was able to see how it could make my business even more successful.

One section I thought was particularly useful was the chapter on overcoming the myths we have inside of our heads, such as that we'll lose control of our company if we create a frictionless company with outsourced staff. I'm glad Russo addressed that issue because I think a lot of CEOs have melt blocks against outsourcing most of their staff and that's what holds them back.

Mitch Russo, does a good job of taking you step by step through coaching and improving the process of coaching. You don't have to be a coach to get tremendous value for everyday life. Mitch gives you his personal contact information and will return contacts and answer questions. That is pretty cool.

I've never written a book review on Amazon before, however, I felt compelled to after reading this book. Mitch has done an excellent job of clearly providing a roadmap for anyone seriously seeking to do a certification program and scale their business by using the recipe conveyed in, "Power Tribes". He is generous with his insight and lays out a proven strategy for launching a first-class program. He doesn't sugar-coat his message regarding what it will take to build a successful program and even reveals some of the mistakes he made so you can avoid them. If you are allergic to rolling up your sleeves and putting in the work to build a certification program, then this book isn't for you. However, if all you need is a clear, concise, and detailed account of the steps you will need to follow to launch your program, you must read this book... SERIOUSLY! This is the third book that I've read on the subject and it is by far the most detailed. I was so moved with the information Mitch provided, that I've already recommended it to a few of my clients and immediately purchased his audiobook, "The Invisible Organization" to gain even more of his brilliant insight. Thank you, Mitch, for not holding back and sharing your in-depth experience in this remarkable book!
