This is the story of Davey Delphine becoming a man. I was very excited to read Davey's story ever since he appeared in Executive Decision, the first book in the series. Davey is a man-child, as Chloe Markham describes him in one scene. In the first book he was immature and jealous of his sister and of Cal, his father's protege, since his father designated Cal to run the company, but having a baby and being in a relationship with Eva, really made him grow up. The journey Davey and Eva were making from a hookup to a loving couple raising babies together was moving and heart-melting. Eva and Davey are very relatable characters. Eva is smart, independent, and a no-nonsense girl. Davey is considerate, caring. responsible. I was very much engrossed in the story and it was fun meeting again all the members of the Delphine family.
This story is so dang hot! Maude’s writing just gets better and better I can’t get enough of it.At times I was yelling at this book or laughing and by the end I was bawling like a baby. The 2 main characters are a force to be reckoned with so stubborn and in the way of their own happiness.Maude and definitely pull all the emotions out with her writing.
Those royals, I’ve got to hand it to them, they’re quite a lively and fun crew. Rosalind “Rose” and Lars’ romance begins under complicated circumstances, when Lars’ takes on the “fake” boyfriend role to help Rose get out of a sticky ex situation. And then the games begin. You’ve got the brother’s best friend, forced proximity (yeah, who wouldn’t enjoy an almost rump on a yacht), and plenty of other occurrences to keep you hooked and panting for more.Despite their “proper” upbringing as royals, these are not the kind to mince their words, lives, and well as meat. The antics were hilarious and the family dynamics? They bring meaning to complicated and blended families on steroids, as keeping up with who’s married to 3rd marriage whom and who’s slept with this or that, is very entertaining.I loved Rose and Lars’ story, as it was as entertaining as well as very steamy (another secret about those royals, they do know their way around the bedroom). Well written and edited. I highly recommend this fun holiday read.
Talk about a couple to give you anxiety.. Ingrid has such a different story from her eldest sister, and I love it. I love it because, if you've read the first book- although not necessary- you can see that Alex really cleared the way and worked for Ingrid to be able to live the life she ends up living. One of my favorite things about this book is that no one is sacrificing or being made to sacrifice, part of their life for the other person. They both have goals and dreams and desires. While it is simple or without issue, they figure out ways to keep those parts alive. This story is a spicy one 😘. Ingrid was not a girl to be denied, and, honestly, I was a little bit surprised at the baby of the family. You gotta remember, I've known her since she was a young child 🤣.Ingrid and Kier are fantastic and fantastic together. I can't wait to see more of them as they pop up in future stories.
Ready for a fun-filled holiday romp in Miami? That’s exactly what you’re going to get from the team of Maude Winters and L. Derby in Yachts and Yuletide!I haven’t read all of the Resplendent Royals series, but I have read Royally Drawn and this story follows right after it. We met Prince Lars of Norway in the last book. Honestly, he was kind of a dick. I knew there was more to him by the end of Royally Drawn and I was so happy he was getting his own holiday novella. The object of Lars’ affection is Lady Rose Ferguson of the UK. He has been friends with her older brothers for years. While they have never formed a relationship before, when Rose’s ex shows up, Lars is willing to jump into the role of fake boyfriend.Lars has a degree in Electrical Engineering and Rose needs someone to help her with a choreographed light show for her boat in an annual holiday boat parade. Lars takes on double duty of fake boyfriend and holiday boat decorator for Rose while also helping his step-brother’s daughter, Jacqueline “Jack”, decorating her dinghy for the holiday teen race. With his hands more than full, he does fit in acting on his attraction to Rose.Rose is very confident while Lars is a tad bit shy. Once the two decide to act on their desires, Lars learns how to satisfy Rose in ways he never imagined but whole-heartedly enjoys. Tons of spicy scenes follow as the two explore all their desires in the little time they have together. Keep a cool drink and a fan handy as the chemistry reaches volcanic levels.I love how Lars and Rose take over a parental role for Jack. While there is so many blood-related people in this series, Lars and Rose make Jack truly feel like family while her real parents haven’t made her a priority. Plus, Jack is the number one cheerleader for Lars and Rose to make a real go of it.While this novella is only about 140 pages, it packs in an amazing story with two characters you’ll instantly fall for.I received Yachts and Yuletide for free. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.
Bear in mind, this is a continuation of a series but also works well enough as a stand-alone being that it's a holiday toss in! Imagine yourself on a yacht over the water for Christmas. I won't lie, I think I'd somewhat miss the snow on the ground and in the trees but at the same time, the imagery over the water during that festive time of year has to be unimaginable. And it's depicted well within the book, along with a sweet tale of love and holiday cheer. After a hilarious "meet-cute", the events turn into a "Well, now we have to go with it" type of moment, leading a fake couple into the realm of "... this could actually work for us." Little twists and turns take place and without giving much away, this is definitely a story for those of us who enjoy a light-hearted, sweet moment with a couple. A palette cleanser type for all feel-good holiday reads!
This is the 4th book in the Resplendent Royals series and I think this one may be my favorite. This follows Princess Odette American Billionaire Wyatt’s romance. They are both carrying some heavy issues. Wyatt is a widowed father or a young son and Princess Odette is trying to find her footing again after some serious mental health struggles. When they have a disastrous meet cute that ends in Odette’s dog disappearing, Wyatt jumps in to help.I loved so much about this book. I love the way this book handles both character’s mental health struggles. I also love the way she wrote about grief. I really think all the themes in this book were written about in a believable and relatable way. Even if you don’t have these struggles, you are able to understand how these themes fuel the characters and their relationships with each other. The love story between Odette and Wyatt worked on a lot of different levels and reading this book you understand how these two could fall for each other quickly but struggle with how to make their relationship work. I also love all the appearances by the other royals in this book. I loved that Rick and Odette’s relationship is explored and how his role has become not only as a brother in low but also a friend and confidante. There is so much I loved about this book I could go on and on but I will just say its worth the read.
Davet meets Eva one might one and becomes absolutely smitten with her. She doesn't leave her phone number or anything. Imagine both of their shock when Eva shows up at Delphine Industries for her first day in an upper level position and meets the CEO. Daphne had hired her, so Davey never met her. From there, it's a matter of Davey finding out about Eva being pregnant and them navigating their families, work, and how/what type of relationship they'll have.Plenty of cute spots to giggle, as well as swoon. always love Maude's open door heat. I also loved how we got a glimpse of the future of Daphne and Cal.5 Stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I was happy to be chosen as an ARC reader. This book is the second book I have read from Maude Winters. It blends drama and typical tropes very well without being cliche. Eva is lively character, that's easy to relate to. There's a nice variety of side characters that add to the story and are easy to remember. Its nice watching the main characters learn and grow. I plan on buying a copy for my mom to read
Yes yes yes… I freaking ate this up…definitely a must read I am so glad I did. The FMC has to deal with a lot of stuff coming from several sides but Cal is like a breath of fresh air showing her it’s all going to work out.
