This was my first read from this author and I was not disappointed! The writing was clean and flowed nicely. The pacing of the book was done well and didn’t leave you wishing a chapter would just hurry up and be done. It hooked you immediately with a murder mystery and the addictive MMC.

Knox lost his entire family 4 years ago in a tragic event. The only thing that has kept him going is his obsession for Ros. He is obsessive and a demanding business man, who also spotlights as a Masktok personality in secret! With Ros he sees her life falling apart and refuses to let her fall alone, bringing her groceries and keeping her safe. Also helping her bring out her darkest fantasy…. She just doesn’t know it’s him.

The desire and longing in this book was soooo well done. The spice was toe curling. 🌶️🌶️🌶️🔥🔥🔥

I love when a dark romance also brings such an emotional roller coaster with it!

When I say I devoured this book, I mean I DEVOURED it. This book grabbed my attention from the very first page, and I could not put it down.

The dual POVs allowed me to form a connection with both the MMC and FMC and the writing is exquisite. The banter is bantering, and the romance is romancing without overshadowing the story. You will experience all emotions with this book, and you will leave wanting more!

Knox is the best book boyfriend, with is southern charm, perfect smile, and dark obsessive side that will leave your knees weak. There were points in the book that seemed a bit slow while seemed a bit fast, I think that’s added to the experience and relatability of the story since that’s how life really is. I feel like the way Rose wrote this book was great, with her being able to leave Knox and Ros’ story here, or continue it in another book or two.

This thrilling, heartfelt, friends to lovers, masked stalker romance is definitely a 5 star for me, and I highly recommend reading ASFOL! This was my first ARC experience and Rose James definitely set the bar high! I can’t wait to read more from her.

What do you do when the woman you love is not available? You watch, obsess, and plot. This is a story of a man who lost his family to a brutal murder and the only thing he is living for is his neighbor, his obsession.

The neighbor, Ros, has been beaten down by life and as the last swing comes, Knox comes striding in and saving her but that is just the beginning of the story.

This hints at darkness but would be a good book to dip your toes into if you are not sure that you are ready for dark romance. Expect stalking, hints of thirst traps, and a slow burn.

The story is well written; more plot than smut and has a dual POV.

I enjoyed the book and would recommend it.

What she finds tests their relationship in every way. It’s deliciously dark and ends in HEA 💜

Absolutely amazing!!! Hooks you from the first chapter. If Zade Meadows and John Hammond has a brother it would be Knox. Run, don't walk to snatch this book up.
