Messy in the best way
Hello Again by Airicia Jones was such an engaging read filled with messy emotions, unresolved history, and complicated adult relationships.
The story follows Niaomi and Stephon, who reconnect years after their relationship ended without proper closure. As adults, they are forced to confront the feelings and unfinished business they left behind. Their journey shows just how difficult it can be to move forward when the past still has a hold on you.
What stood out most to me was the banter between the characters and the emotional tension that carried throughout the story. The dynamic between Nia and Stephon was intense, frustrating at times, and very real. Their inability to fully decide what they wanted—while also interfering with Nia’s current relationship—created a level of drama that made the story feel messy in the best way possible.
The book contains light spice, but the focus is really on the emotional conflict, lingering chemistry, and the complicated nature of reconnecting with a past love.
Overall, this was a compelling second-chance romance that kept me invested in the characters and their journey.
